While you're in town, be sure and stop by the Sykesville And Patapsco Railway.
The S&P Railway operates model train displays in a 1910 Pullman passenger
car, and a 1925 vintage wood Caboose located on Oklahoma Ave just behind
the Visitors Center and Post Office. The S&P is open the first Sunday
of each month from 1:00 PM till 5:00 PM.
As an added treat for the kids, The Little Sykes Railway operates a 12"
gauge train that the kids can actually take a ride in. The Little Sykes
Railway is located on Sandosky Road and is open every Saturday from May
through October. The train operates from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM with an hour
off for lunch at 12:00. There is no charge to ride but donations are appreciated.
All riders must be at least 3 years old and no taller than 48 inches.
