The Sykesville Business Association (SBA) was formed to help promote the
businesses of Sykesville and to introduce folks from other areas to our
historic old town charm. We strive to make sure there is plenty of parking,
both on Main Street and in the public parking lots located around our little
town.
Our merchants go out of their way to offer friendly, courteous service at all times. They will go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your visit to Sykesville. To see who the merchants are, just check out the Members page
Our proud and dedicated Police force takes great pride in keeping Sykesville
the safe and secure community that it is.
So come on down to historic Sykesville and enjoy our small town pleasantry
and our big city class. We have over 40 businesses to serve you on and
around Main Street.
Sykesville isn't just for shopping either. We have entertainment for the
kids of all ages. The Little Sakes Railroad offers a chance for the kids
to ride an operating miniature railroad, and the Sykesville and Patapsco
Railway offers model train displays in a vintage 1910 Chesapeake and Ohio
Railway passenger car and a 1925 Baltimore and Ohio Caboose. The Little
Sykes Railroad is open Saturdays from May to October and the Sykesville
and Patapsco Railway is open the first Sunday of each month from 1:00 PM
to 5:00 PM
When the Stomach starts to pang, you can satisfy that hunger at our fine
Restaurants including Beck's and the Baldwin Station. There is also a Coffee
Shop at the top of Main Street in case you aren't in the mood for a full
culinary fare
